If anyone ever questioned whether TIFF is really the feeding ground for Oscar fare, then a quick look at this years’ list of attending stars should make them eat their words. The actors here already have enough awards among them to stage a serious battle (and with plenty of big-budget directors in town, too, it wouldn’t be difficult to get the hardware flying in perfectly choreographed sequences). They probably won’t bring their Oscars, Golden Globes and BAFTAs with them, let alone use them as weapons, but they will have to shimmy quickly down the red carpets, or risk drowning in hours of fan love. Here’s our guide to the A-listers you’ll be seeing in Toronto this year - for the complete list of stars and special guests set to appear click HERE and for our guide to the Canadian stars attending click HERE.

Nicole Kidman

The Australian beauty will be in town to promote Rabbit Hole, the latest release from quirky creative John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Shortbus). “A passion project about a grieving couple, and how you get through trauma and loss together and how it affects a marriage,” Rabbit Hole also stars Aaron Eckhart, Dianne Weist and Sandra Oh. No word yet on whether Kidman will be travelling with her husband, country star Keith Urban. (credit: Getty Images)

Are Canadians 'allowed' to attend too?!
RunningFrog
So when will the Canadian Actors be featured exactly pulease?! For our 'Canadian Fest"?! ..

Let me guess..

On the last day of the Fest; on some other channel set at the wrong time; just like our disabilites section of the "Canadian Olympics" covered, with full compliments of the American War Agenda?!

Or is this just an enmass black bloc attempt to stifle Canadian media AGAIN?!

Key words kids,

American = black bloc entertainment!

Canadian = relevant news? tbd..

HINT: DO NOT HOLD YOUR BREATH..

Toronto doesn't need the TFF to be considered a world-class city. The fluff of the self important and self indulgent pushing their remakes of past movies
