The Best and Worst of Disney
The 3D trend is on the rise and Disney has gotten wise to its potential for increased ticket sales by re-mastering some of its greatest animations for 3D. Last year, we saw Simba grow up in the third dimension with the re-release of The Lion King, while this year will bring us an updated version of Beauty and the Beast. This trend is sure to continue, but before Disney gets too deep into the catalogue, we think it’s important to remind them which films are worth revisiting and which are better left on the shelf. So let’s relive the magic of Disney’s best films and revile the monotony of its worst:

Best: The Lion King

There’s a reason The Lion King was chosen for Disney’s first 3D re-release. Voters at The Disney Movie Guide rated it as their favourite and the film holds an 89% freshness rating at Rotten Tomatoes. But trumping these numbers is The Lion King’s heartfelt plot; a grand coming-of-age-tale set to the infectious rhythms of Africa and Elton John.
