Born on August 13, 1899, Alfred Hitchcock's illustrious career spanned over half a century and fifty feature films, including classics such as Rebecca, Rear Window, Vertigo, and Psycho. Here are ten facts that you probably didn't know about one of the most influential figures in cinematic history.

His first work was a disaster.
Hitchcock's first directorial effort, the 1922 film Number 13, was an abject failure. Funding fell through very early in production, and only a small number of scenes were ultimately shot (Hitchcock is shown directing one scene in the photo above). Today, surviving footage of Number 13 is highly sought after.

Alfred Hitchcock was the best director of his day. All his movies kept you on the edge of your seat. He did 40 years ago what new directors try to do with insane budgets and all the special effects.Think what he could have done with all that at his disposal.I still love to watch his movies.

yea i do to got acollection of his films i like the bird's the best
